Though a design fan, I’m not much of a home or product remodeler (Sally Gollie seems to have kept those genes to herself). But it’s fun to see the step-by-step tips that Ecofabulous founder Zem Joaquin and team lay out for refubishing bedroom furniture sustainably in a video posted today. The DIY Furniture Makeover is part of the eBay Green Team’s “Creative Reuse Competition,” which is to include a $1,000 eco shopping spree on the site. One dollar donations are being made to Global Green USA for each person who becomes a member of the team, and Zem will be tweeting her favorite vintage pick of the day for the next two weeks. (It’s something my eBay Gold Star-carrying Dad would be proud of, even if I’m not capable of repurposing in the same way his better half is.)
